Further Addition to the Blacinae (Hymenoptera: Braconidae) of Turkey and Coleoptera Species as Hosts

Description

New distributional records for species of Blacinae (Hymenoptera: Braconidae) are reported for Turkey. Parasitoid Blacinae samples were collected from cultivated and uncultivated landscapes from Elazig, Erzincan, Malatya and Tunceli provinces of Eastern Anatolia where the study was carried out between 2007-2009. 8 Blacinae species were found. All the species are new to the fauna of Eastern Turkey. The presence of Mucus Haeselbarth, 1973 and B. (Ganychorus) capeki Haeselbarth, 1973 are new records for Turkey. The known information on Blacinae parasitoids of Coleoptera was consolidated in this article. Species of parasitoids, Coleoptera hosts and, where possible, plant host of the Coleoptera are provided along with citations to sources of information. Sixteen species of parasitoids are recorded from nine different families of Coleoptera.
