Zygodon forsteri (Orthotrichaceae) is recorded for the first time from Turkey and Southwest Asia This epiphytic species was collected in Babadag (Fethiye Mugla province) on upper trunks of Quercusithaburensis A key for the Turkish species of the genus distribution maps and a short description of the new record with illustrations ale presented
