Description

This paper presents a clone system that is deployed to shows the vulnerability of an FPGA based 4-D hyperchaotic random number generator (RNG) that is presented as "True" random number generator. The unknown parameter of the target hyperchaotic RNG is uncovered by using auto-synchronization method. Synchronization is achieved by monitoring only one of the state variable for a limited scalar time. Experimental results support the numerical analysis by predicting the next bit of the RNG.
