Strong summation process in L-p spaces

Using the concept of strong summation process, we give a Korovkin type approximation theorem for a sequence of positive linear operators acting from L-p[a, b] into itself. We also study some quantitative estimates for L-p approximation and give the rate of convergence of these operators. (C) 2013 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
