Integrated Working Environment as a Tool to Increase Efficiency and Productivity

This study is about designing a development environment that integrates bug/issue and task management tool, source code control system, and software library repository browser with continuous integration server. Applying this development environment to existing production environment of TUBITAK's IT department will increase efficiency, encourage reuse, and ease maintenance. By the way, limited sources (people, CPU power, storage, time) will have been used more efficiently. Developers could easily reach/reuse/search previously developed libraries since it is shared in a repository. Developers will have a place to put gained experiences from projects as a library, and the changes made in the maintenance phase over libraries could easily be reflected to product by build automation. Other outcomes of this study is providing basic documentation with small effort, a release management system which is capable of traceability, and core system infrastructure which can run several tests over source code and the compiled code.
