Energy and environment strategies in Turkey

The environmental effects of past and predicted energy utilization in Turkey are discussed Long-term strategies and control measures are given for the industrial agricultural, and domestic sectors and power plants. Projected long-term (1995-2010) economic and environmental remedial measures such as changing to renewable energies and other cleaner sources, application of pollutant removal technologies and energy conservation are given for each energy consuming sector. Necessary changes to the infrastructure of the energy sector by means of reorganization, reallocation and reform are discussed.
