A study on the evaluation of multilevel thresholding methods based on the automatic thresholding criterion

In this paper, an evaluation study is realized for the multilevel thresholding (MLT) based on the automatic thresholding criterion (ATC). Four different dichotomization processes are adapted to the ATC based MLT. The effect of the dichotomization processes is also presented and a comparison is made on the set of some real images for different methods.
