UWB LPDA Design and. Simulations for Jamming

Description
This paper summarizes the design and simulated performance of an ultra-wideband (UWB) log-periodic dipole array (LPDA) with typical gain of 7 dBi at frequencies greater than 10:1. This antenna that covers frequency range of 0.425 to 5.9 GHz is basically designed for jamming purposes with a certain power amplifier. The advantage of the LPDA antenna compared to equivalent UWB antennas is light weight and; it can be designed for wider bandwidth.
