Deinterleaving for Radars with Jitter and Agile Pulse Repetition Interval

  • 1. Tubitak Bilgem Iltaren, Ankara, Turkey

Description

In an increasingly dense and complex environment identification of the radars by Radar Warning Receivers (RWR) has utmost importance. In this study the process of obtaining the meaningful pulse sequences from radars with jitter and agile Pulse Repetition Interval (PRI) types is investigated. The effectiveness of the deinterleaving algorithm can be measured by one of the critical elements, which is the fast identification of the intended radars. In order to meet the fast identification criteria less number of pulses are intercepted to identify the radars. Moreover, in a complex environment it will he observed that predefined PRI information for radars simplifies the deinterleaving process. The reason why deinterleaving for jitter and agile PRI types is investigated together is that similar Time Of Arrival (TOA) deinterleaving algorithm is applied for both PRI types.
