This letter derives a resource block allocation method for maximal ratio transmission in distributed multiple-input multiple-output networks. We first show that the minimum signal-to-interference-and-noise ratio of users jointly served within a time-frequency resource block is upper bounded by a quantity depending on long-term channel statistics. Inspired from the bound expression, we develop an efficient partitioning technique to distribute the users into a given number of time-frequency resource blocks so that the minimum spectral efficiency is maximized. We show that the original problem is NP-hard, and the detailed simulations verify that the proposed method provides a high-performance and low-complexity solution.
