Observation of OZI-suppressed decays ${\chi }_{cJ}\to \omega \varphi $

Decays ${\chi }_{cJ}\left(J=0,1,2\right)\to \omega \varphi $ are studied using $\left(448.1±2.9\right)×{10}^{6}\psi \left(3686\right)$ events collected with the BESIII detector in 2009 and 2012. In addition to the previously established ${\chi }_{c0}\to \omega \varphi $, the first observation of ${\chi }_{c1}\to \omega \varphi $ is reported in this paper. The measured product branching fractions are $B\left(\psi \left(3686\right)\to \gamma {\chi }_{c0}\right)×B\left({\chi }_{c0}\to \omega \varphi \right)=\left(13.83±0.70±1.01\right)×{10}^{-6}$ and $B\left(\psi \left(3686\right)\to \gamma {\chi }_{c1}\right)×B\left({\chi }_{c1}\to \omega \varphi \right)=\phantom{\rule{0ex}{0ex}}\left(2.67±0.31±0.27\right)×{10}^{-6}$, and the absolute branching fractions are $B\left({\chi }_{c0}\to \omega \varphi \right)=\left(13.84±0.70±1.08\right)×{10}^{-5}$ and $B\left({\chi }_{c1}\to \omega \varphi \right)=\left(2.80±0.32±0.30\right)×{10}^{-5}$. We also find strong evidence for ${\chi }_{c2}\to \omega \varphi $ with a statistical significance of $4.8\sigma $, and the corresponding product and absolute branching fractions are measured to be $B\left(\psi \left(3686\right)\to \gamma {\chi }_{c2}\right)×B\left({\chi }_{c2}\to \omega \varphi \right)=\left(0.91±0.23±0.12\right)×{10}^{-6}$ and $B\left({\chi }_{c2}\to \omega \varphi \right)=\left(1.00±0.25±0.14\right)×{10}^{-5}$. Here, the first errors are statistical and the second ones systematic.
