If soil moisture is in short supply, nitrogen fertilization of the wheat crop may increase vegetative growth, rapidly deplete soil moisture<br> and depress grain yields. High levels of soil nitrate may depress availability of soil phosphorus to wheat.</p></description> </descriptions> </resource>
